Code of Conduct

Our Pledge

We, as members, contributors, and leaders pledge to make participation in our community a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, visible or invisible disability, ethnicity, sex characteristics, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.

Our Commitments

  • Data Privacy: We will never use your data to make money or share it with third parties. Any information you provide is handled with end-to-end encryption where applicable and is strictly confidential.
  • Non-Profit Focus: Our primary source of funding is donations from our users and partners. We will never focus on profit in a way that affects the quality of our services.
  • Research-Based Courses: Our courses will always be based on independent research and sound reasoning to ensure they are relevant and effective.
  • Donation Transparency: We are committed to transparency. All donors will receive a clear receipt detailing how their contribution is being used to support our mission.

Our Standards

Examples of behavior that contributes to a positive environment include:

  • Demonstrating empathy and kindness toward other people
  • Being respectful of differing opinions, viewpoints, and experiences
  • Giving and gracefully accepting constructive feedback
  • Accepting responsibility and apologizing to those affected by our mistakes

Examples of unacceptable behavior include:

  • The use of sexualized language or imagery, and sexual attention or advances of any kind
  • Trolling, insulting or derogatory comments, and personal or political attacks
  • Public or private harassment
  • Publishing others' private information, such as a physical or email address, without their explicit permission

Zero-Tolerance Policies & Consequences

To protect our community and mission, we enforce the following strict policies:

  • Disrespect and Harassment: Any member found to be disrespecting or harassing another member will face immediate and permanent termination of their membership and may be subject to a fine, enforced legally.
  • Misuse of Intellectual Property: All Codesity research papers and studies are free for all of humanity. Any individual or entity attempting to sell or profit from our free resources will face legal action, including prosecution to the fullest extent of the law.
  • Ownership of Work: All innovations, inventions, and project work created by interns or members under the guidance of Codesity, using Codesity resources, or within Codesity labs are the exclusive intellectual property of Codesity. No external employer, partner, or third party has any right to this work.
  • Criminal Activity: Any Codesity member prosecuted for a crime (including but not limited to theft, scam, money laundering, or hacking) will have their membership permanently revoked.
  • Member Verification: A full KYC (Know Your Customer) process is necessary for every member to ensure the safety and integrity of our community.
  • Political Neutrality: To maintain our independence, no active or retired MLA (Member of the Legislative Assembly) or other political officials may be a member of this organization.
  • Protection of Mission: No individual, partner, or entity may pressure Codesity for profits or otherwise attempt to compromise our non-profit mission.

Media Usage and Branding

  • Watermarking and Tagging: Any person posting images, audio, video, or other format of content of Codesity events, works, property, or any related content must include a Codesity watermark and tag Codesity on social media.
  • Attribution: All such content must explicitly mention that it belongs to or is associated with Codesity.
  • Removal Policy: If a watermark or tag is removed, the content must be immediately taken down from all platforms, including social media, websites, and presentations.

Official Agreements and Membership

  • Mandatory Agreements: All speakers, members, and interns are required to enter into an official agreement with the directors of Codesity.
  • Member Verification (KYC): A full Know Your Customer (KYC) process is mandatory for every member to ensure the safety and integrity of the community.
  • Political Neutrality: To maintain independence, no active or retired political officials (e.g., MLAs) may be members of the organization.

Intellectual Property and Personal Promotion

  • Exclusive Ownership: All innovations, inventions, and project work created by interns or members using Codesity resources, labs, or guidance are the exclusive intellectual property of Codesity.
  • Approval for Promotion: Any personal promotion or use of Codesity-related work for external gain must be approved by Codesity. Bypassing this approval is strictly prohibited.
  • No Personal Brand Promotion: Personal brand promotion is not allowed in seminars, speeches, or any Codesity-related events and communications.
  • Sponsored Brand Recognition: Sponsored brands will receive a sponsor tag but will have no effect or influence on research and seminars.
  • Misuse of Resources: Attempting to sell or profit from Codesity's free resources (e.g., research papers, studies) will result in legal action and prosecution.

Organizational Connections and Institutional Relationships

  • Prohibition of Personal Use: Members, directors, and all associates of Codesity cannot utilize Codesity's connections for personal gain. Any connection established for the organization must remain strictly for organizational purposes only.
  • Immediate Termination: If any member is found using organizational connections for personal benefit, they will be immediately terminated and all access will be blocked.
  • Individual Approach Allowed: Members may individually approach institutions or contacts, but they cannot utilize Codesity's established connections without prior permission.
  • Shareholder Approval Required: Any use of organizational connections requires prior permission from the biggest shareholder of Codesity Foundation. This requirement will be strictly enforced.
  • Official Communication Channel: All engagements with schools, colleges, or any institutions must go through the official email of the organization or be discussed with the biggest shareholder.
  • No Individual Member Routing: No institution is allowed to connect or engage through a particular individual member. All institutional relationships must be established through official organizational channels.
  • Immediate Cancellation: Any connection or event conducted outside official channels will be canceled immediately.
  • Reputational Consequences: Violation of this policy can severely hamper the reputation of both the individual involved and Codesity Foundation. This will be strictly understood and enforced.

Non-Disparagement and Defamation

  • Speaking Against Codesity: Any individual, whether an existing or former member, director, or volunteer, is prohibited from speaking against the Codesity Foundation without factual proof.
  • Defamation Policy: Failure to provide factual proof when making negative statements will result in defamation charges against the individual or group involved.

Bribery and Corruption

  • Zero-Tolerance for Bribery: Any member, speaker, researcher, or director found involved in a bribery case shall be permanently removed from the network.
  • Proof Requirement: All bribery cases require more than one proof for action to be taken.

Share Issuance and Governance

  • Share Approval: No shares can be issued without prior permission of the biggest shareholder.

Discrimination Policy

  • Prohibition of Discrimination: No discrimination is allowed by any member, director, speaker, researcher, volunteer, or other associated person in any form (video, text, verbal, or image) on any topic.
  • Proof Requirement: Allegations of discrimination must be supported by proof, or else strict action will be taken against those making unfounded claims.

Religious Neutrality

  • Humanity Over Religion: Codesity Foundation follows no religion and does not believe in religious divisions. We only know humanity.
  • No Religious Activities: No religious tasks or activities are allowed within Codesity Foundation.

Utilization of Organizational Connections - STRICT POLICY

  • Absolute Prohibition on Personal Use of Connections: Any member, director, researcher, speaker, volunteer, or any associate of Codesity Foundation CANNOT and SHALL NOT utilize any organizational connections, networks, or relationships for personal gain, personal projects, or individual benefit under any circumstances.
  • No Strategic Use of Connections: Even if a member personally knows or brought a connection to Codesity, they CANNOT strategically use that connection through Codesity's name, platform, or resources for their personal advantage.
  • Ownership of Connections: Once a connection is established with Codesity Foundation, it becomes organizational property. The individual who facilitated the connection does not retain personal rights to utilize it.
  • Prior Permission Mandatory: Any member wishing to leverage any organizational connection must obtain explicit prior written permission from the biggest shareholder of Codesity Foundation. No exceptions will be made.
  • Immediate Consequences: If any member is discovered using organizational connections for personal benefit without authorization, the following actions will be taken immediately:
    • Immediate termination from all positions and roles.
    • Complete blocking of all access to organizational resources and networks.
    • Legal action may be pursued for breach of trust and misuse of organizational assets.
  • Individual Approach vs. Organizational Leverage: Members are permitted to approach institutions, schools, colleges, or contacts in their individual capacity only. However, they CANNOT:
    • Use Codesity's name or reputation.
    • Reference their association with Codesity to gain advantage.
    • Utilize any connection that was established through Codesity.
    • Leverage any relationship that exists because of Codesity's network.
  • Official Channels Only: All institutional engagements, partnerships, events, or collaborations with schools, colleges, organizations, or any external entities MUST:
    • Go through the official email of Codesity Foundation.
    • Be discussed and approved by the biggest shareholder.
    • Be documented through proper organizational channels.
  • No Routing Through Individual Members: Institutions, schools, colleges, or any external entities are strictly prohibited from connecting with Codesity through any particular individual member. All communications and relationships must be established through official organizational representatives only.
  • Zero Tolerance Enforcement: This policy will be enforced with zero tolerance. Any violation, no matter how minor it may seem, will result in immediate action.
  • Reputational Protection: These strict measures are in place to protect the reputation and integrity of both Codesity Foundation and its members. Violations can cause severe and irreparable damage to the organization's standing and credibility.
  • Understanding and Compliance: All members, directors, and associates MUST understand and comply with this policy. Ignorance or misunderstanding will not be accepted as an excuse for violations.

Data Collection and Privacy Policy

No member, director, speaker, researcher, volunteer, or any associate of Codesity Foundation is allowed to collect, store, record, or use any form of personal or organizational data on behalf of Codesity without explicit legal permission from the biggest shareholder.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Email addresses
  • Phone numbers
  • Names
  • Age
  • Personal identification details
  • Institutional data
  • Any other sensitive or non-sensitive information related to an individual or entity

Such data must not be collected from any individual or entity under any circumstances without prior authorized approval.

Any violation of this policy will result in strict action, including immediate termination, blocking of access, and possible legal consequences.

Content Sharing and External Communication Policy

No volunteer, director, member, speaker, researcher, or any associate or outsider is allowed to share, distribute, forward, or promote any link, image, PDF, document, or any other file on behalf of Codesity without prior permission.

This restriction applies to sharing with any individual, organization, institution, or external entity under any circumstances.

No person is allowed to represent Codesity while sharing or promoting any material without proper authorization.

Any violation of this policy will result in strict action, including immediate termination, blocking of access, and possible legal consequences.

Behavioral Standards and Enforcement Detail

  • Harassment-Free Pledge: A commitment to a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of personal characteristics.
  • Zero-Tolerance Policies: Immediate and permanent termination for harassment, disrespect, or criminal activity.
  • Reporting Mechanism: Instances of unacceptable behavior can be reported to care@codesity.com. All complaints will be investigated promptly and fairly.

For Recruiters and Partners

We expect all recruiting partners to interact with our interns and community members with the highest level of professionalism and respect. The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Any form of misrepresentation, pressure tactics, or discriminatory hiring practices.
  • Making our interns work on any project without our explicit written permission.
  • Offering to share any profit or financial gain with Codesity in exchange for access to our interns. We are a non-profit and do not engage in such practices.

For Donors

We are grateful for our donors' support and are committed to transparency. However, we maintain a strict policy to protect our team and mission:

  • All inquiries regarding the use of funds must be made respectfully via email. Excessive harassment of our team will not be tolerated and will result in a full refund of the donation and the termination of any associated work or collaboration.
  • All donated items or funds become the sole property of Codesity. The organization will not rent, sell, or otherwise profit from donated assets without the explicit written permission of the donor.

Enforcement

Instances of abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior may be reported to the community leaders responsible for enforcement at care@codesity.com. All complaints will be reviewed and investigated promptly and fairly.

All community leaders are obligated to respect the privacy and security of the reporter of any incident. Community leaders who do not follow or enforce the Code of Conduct in good faith may face temporary or permanent repercussions.
