About Codesity & Mission

What is Codesity Foundation?

Codesity Foundation is a registered non-profit research and development organization (CIN: U88900AS2025NPL029368) dedicated to restoring authenticity and integrity to innovation. We focus on ethical tech, free education, and sustainable development.

Is Codesity a genuine non-profit?

Yes. We are legally registered as a Section 8 non-profit company in India. Our operations are governed by the Codesity Open Information Act, mandating radical transparency in our finances and operations.

How is Codesity funded?

We are funded through a mix of voluntary donations, research grants, CSR partnerships, event ticketing, and affordable apps. We do not accept funding that compromises our ethical independence. See our Funding Page for details.

Legal & Licensing

What is the Codesity 3.0 License?

The Codesity 3.0 License is our proprietary ethical software license. It certifies software as safe, privacy-respecting, and socially beneficial. Unlike standard open-source licenses, it mandates specific ethical usage, preventing the software from being used for harmful purposes like surveillance or discrimination.

Is Codesity 3.0 compatible with Open Source?

Codesity 3.0 is a "source-available" license with ethical restrictions. While the code is viewable and usable for good, it restricts usage in harmful industries (e.g., weapons manufacturing, gambling). This makes it distinct from traditional permissive licenses like MIT or Apache.

How can I apply for a Codesity License for my project?

Developers and organizations can apply for certification through our Licensing Portal. The process involves a code audit and an impact assessment to ensure alignment with our ethical standards.

Sectors & Impact

Which sectors does Codesity work in?

Do you have non-tech initiatives?

Absolutely. Beyond code, we work on Poverty Alleviation, Gender Equality, Clean Sanitation, and Mental Health awareness. We believe technology is a tool to solve these human problems, not an end in itself.

What is your work in Space Exploration?

Our Space Exploration division focuses on democratizing access to space data. We are developing open-source tools for satellite data analysis to help students and researchers monitor climate change and agricultural patterns from space.

What is the KodeKraft Internship?
